Duo Lab is a music project led by the Brazilian jazz musicians Rayne Vitorino Dias (piano/accordion) and Caroline Blumer (voice/percussion). Departing from original arrangements written by Caroline and Rayne, Duo Lab collaborates with musicians from different countries creating energetic performances full of improvisation, scat singing, Brazilian rhythms, and creativity. The repertoire goes from Brazilian jazz Fusion and Bossa Nova to unique versions of traditional jazz standards and other classics, plus the Duo'sown compositions.
The Duo Lab project started in 2024 and is preparing to record its first album in 2025. Rayne and Caroline have performed in diverse Jazz pubs in London area as a Duo formation as well as a Trio, Quarted, and Quintet, in bigger events such as the Sunday Jazz project, adding bass, drums, and saxophone to the band.
