Based in Sarnia Ontario and Port Huron Michigan the Riverview Jazz Quintet unites five distinguished musicians from across Southwestern Ontario for a sophisticated and engaging jazz experience grounded in tradition and energized by modern expression.
With a repertoire spanning straight-ahead jazz, swing, Latin rhythms, blues, and contemporary standards, the ensemble blends lyrical storytelling with dynamic improvisation. From intimate ballads to driving hard-bop classics, Riverview Jazz Quintet delivers performances that are refined, soulful, and unmistakably vibrant.
The group features:
Al Weiss – A respected veteran of the regional jazz scene, Weiss brings decades of performance experience, expressive phrasing, and a warm, classic jazz sensibility to the ensemble.
