Rob Stone & Chris Norley

Bringing together deep roots in straight-ahead jazz and a shared connection to Canada’s vibrant theatre scene, trombonist/pianist Rob Stone and guitarist/vocalist Chris Norley unite for an evening of lyrical interplay and inventive improvisation.

Stone, a 19-season veteran of the Stratford Festival and graduate of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music (MMus), has performed with jazz luminaries including Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, Bill Watrous, and Louie Bellson, and is a recipient of the Frank Rosolino Award from the International Trombone Association. His playing reflects harmonic depth and the lyrical influence of Bill Evans.

Norley, an active presence in Ontario’s jazz and theatre communities, appeared at Ed Bickert at 80 – A Jazz Celebration at the Glenn Gould Studio, broadcast nationally on CBC Radio.
