Set 1 (7-8pm): Second Act Combo

The Second Act Combo is a four piece jazz ensemble specializing in traditional swinging standards, cool classics and breezy bossas. Formed in 2024, the band consists of  Bruce Reid on saxophone, Ty Paterson on piano, Frank Vita on bass and Ken Brown on drums.

Set 2 (8:30-9:30pm): Aiken | Ladd | Peacock

Aitken | Ladd | Peacock comprises Paul Aitken (guitar), Kim Ladd (bass), and Ted Peacock (drums). The group’s music is a largely improvisatory, dynamic, and unpredictable blend of jazz, rock, and funk. Inspired by Paul’s lifelong interest in spontaneous music making, this ensemble of veteran in-demand session musicians was borne out of a mutual desire to push against the limits of genre-specific musical boundaries and to embrace the possibilities of collective improvisation and playful musical conversation.
